Debbie Visits North Dakota

Deb went to Stanley, North Dakota to view two World War II army pack mules in bronze at the Veteran’s Park. She wanted to acquire a “North Dakota perspective” on pack mules before reading to kindergarten students at Park River Elementary in Park River, North Dakota on Monday, October 25th. It was an enjoyable learning time for us all. Thank you to the teachers!

3rd Annual Camp Carlin Supply Run A Great Success!

Camp Carlin Supply Run in July, was a great success for its 3rd year during Cheyenne Frontier Days! We had over 130 participants of ALL ages, sold 10 copies of Wild Bill, Do You Want To Be A Pack Mule? books, and sold 4 stick mules (one that was autographed by Debbie).

Come see us next July! Better yet, contact Debbie to assist you in creating your own Mule Delivery course, like she did in Fairplay, CO.

With assistance from the South Park City museum staff, we changed the name to Donkey Delivery. Similar to Camp Carlin Supply Run in Cheyenne, Donkey Delivery in Fairplay worked in reverse. The mining donkeys would come into town and pick up supplies for those in the mining camps. (This really happened in the 1800s in the mountain towns!) Anyway, the event was well attended and applauded as a new edition to Fairplay’s Living History Days! Just look at the photos!
